Deirdre Mullaney set up Mullaney Opticians in 1984 as an independent practice. Deirdre works with a close-knit and experienced team, many of whom have been with the practice from the very early stages. Deirdre qualified from Manchester University in 1982. Since opening the practice in 1984, she has been instrumental in building a practice providing the highest level of patient care. Deirdre has assembled a team of fellow optometrists and supporting staff.

Siobhan Hughes qualified from the University of Ulster in 2000. Having worked here since 2001 after spending a year in England she has experience in contact lens and paediatric work.

Receptionists: Julie Ann Dale, Tina Irwin and Michelle Stinton, with over 35 years’ experience between them, continue to greet patients with a friendly smile and are happy and competent to assist with any enquiries.

Gillian Tresadern qualified as an optometrist from Aston University in 1991. She brings a wide range of experience to the practice.

Andrew Cummings graduated from Glasgow University in 1992. He joined the practice in January 2022 and has brought fresh ideas and experience from his previous employment.
